Pacific Feature
The Voyage of the Hokulea and the Hawai`iloa has been recreated from the initial
historical crossings from the Polynesian islands to settle the Islands of Hawai`i from
the year 1350. This is the most significant event in the marine world from Hawai`i's
historical point of view.
We will provide updates from our friends at the Polynesian Voyaging Society and SOEST Hawai`i, of this historical voyage and documentation of
cultural heritage for the Nation of Hawai`i.
